Things to do in Tyrol for all tastes
Breathe in the snowy air without putting on the skis. Fill up on nature beyond the hiking trails. As a sports hotel in Kirchberg, we promise more than just skiing and hiking luxury. Rugged mountain faces challenge you to reach their summits. Archery courses are hidden in mystical forests. Glistening cross-country trails invite you to glide along. Do what you love. And love what you do! Discover all the things to do in Tyrol in every season.
Cross-country skiing in Tyrol, Austria
Almost right in front of our Sporthotel, you can glide along and explore the Brixental Valley, send your worries far away and yet be completely with yourself. In Kirchberg alone, 40 km of prepared cross-country trails lead you off into the winter nature. In Westendorf and Brixen im Thale there are another 16.
Tobogganing in Austria
Tobogganing is the winter sport of all generations. Around Kirchberg in Tirol, several natural toboggan runs wind down from the mountains into the valley, also directly opposite our hotel. A chairlift takes you to the Gaisberg mountain, from where you can cruise back down the 3.5 km into the valley – even night tobogganing is possible on this run!
Walking & Running
23 circuits. Precise information on length and difficulty. And always new destinations. The marked routes of KitzRunning are a paradise for walkers and runners. At times over soft forest floors, sometimes over gravel paths, the trail leads to the idyllic Schwarzsee lake, along the rippling Kirchberger Ache river or over the hills towards Aschau.
Mountaineering & climbing in Austria
Conquer new heights and get a taste of freedom. From the breezy via ferratas of Tyrol to tricky indoor routes, a number of vertical challenges await you in the Brixental Valley. We recommend the Kletterwald Hornpark climbing forest in St. Johann in Tyrol for families, and the Sportpark Kitzbühel for indoor climbers.
Archery in Austria
Roam through the woods like Robin Hood and hit the bull's eye. Something else you can look forward to doing, as four archery courses are just an arrow shot away. Once a week there is a training session at the Bockern course in Kirchberg; our reception team will be happy to book you a place.
